John-Vincent Peter Copani started in the theatre as a volatile teenage actor in epic musical street theater. He subsequently designed lights, built sets,
and stage managed productions, to develop into a renaissance theatre man.
Together, John and his father founded Audience Extras, a theatre audience "papering" system designed to develop new audience for various performing arts events.
For the next seventeen years, Audience Extras became the stage for lifes growth experiences for John-Vincent as well as his father, Peter. The long hours of work, struggles, challenges, disappointments and accomplishments were the bonding for
father and son. John envisioned himself a warrior demanding to be at home as he stood at the threshold of life and death. John chose Peter to be his caretaker during his last brave battle with cancer. The growth experience heightened. The care
became compassion. The ever-present, unconditional LOVE became the bonding for father and son. With this living definition of love, Peter clutched Johns hand as John courageously took his final breathe.
IN CELEBRATION OF THE LOVE
Peter
Copani established The Memorial Foundation For The Arts in 1995 on the anniversary of Johns birth date, March 10th.. |
